DDS Timenet Main Software
DDS Timenet 2 is the main PC software for BTZ or DTZ time zone clocks with changable electronic zone names. Clocks will have a USB cable or RS232 DB-9 cable on the back of the clock to connect directly to a computer. Contact us directly to order a replacement USB or DB-9 cable.

DDS Timenet-M (For Rotating Zones)
Timezone clocks with rotating zones will have a M in the clock’s part number. (For example: BTZ-42425-6ERRM). Only clocks with the M in the part number will be able to display rotating zones.

USB Drivers
Some computers require a driver to be installed to connect to the clock’s USB serial adapter. If the serial port cannot be found in the device manager, first check the physical cable is connected properly, then download and installed the USB driver.

Instructions
Time Zone Clocks
Timezone clocks with fixed vinyl zone names require an infrared remote control to make changes on the clock.
There are multiple control options for time zone clocks with electronic zone names, and the correct configuration can be identified by the part number.
If the part number ends in -USB, then the clock is set via the DDS Timenet software. See Software Downloads section.
If the part number ends in -IRRK, then the clock is set via an infrared remote keyboard
If the part number ends in -ETHR, then the clock is set via an Ethernet/IP-based webpage
If the part number is the base part number, then it will most likely be set via the DDS Timenet software.
Timezone clocks with -ETHR included in the part number can be synchronized to a local or external NTP server.
Standalone Clocks
BSA or DSA standalone clocks have two control options:
Default clocks are set via three switchbuttons on the back of the clock.
Double-sided clocks, quad clocks, and clocks with -IRR in the part number is set via an infrared remote.
Most clocks will only have one option, not both.
Similar to the BSA/DSA clocks, the calendar or Julian day clocks will have two control options:
Default clocks are set via three switchbuttons on the back of the clock.
Clocks with -IRR in the part number is set via an infrared remote.
Most clocks will only have one option, not both.
10-character or 20-character calendar clocks will have two control options. Most clocks will only have one setup option, not both.
Default clocks are set via three switchbuttons on the back of the clock.
Clocks with -IRR in the part number is set via an infrared remote.
For full 30-day calendar clocks, the default control option is infrared remote control:
Standalone clocks in the BSA, DSA, BCL, BJL, and DAC series can also be synchronized to an NTP server (must be requested at time of order). The clocks will still have the switchbutton or IR remote control setup. See above sections for correct instructions.
The following instructions are to synchronize to a local or external NTP server only.
Timers
While some timers are count down only (denoted by -D in part number) or count up only (denoted by -U), the following instructions will work for all timers that have the following modes: Real Time, Count Up, and/or Count Down.
- BET-109940-D-IRR – 10-digit count down timer with IR Remote control
- BET-89940-IRR – 8-digit count up and count down timer with IR Remote control and toggle to switch between modes
